Identify your customers first. 
It’s really important to understand exactly who your customers are, what do they want from you and how can you offer value.

Keep in touch.
Once you’ve identified your customers how do you keep in touch with them do you ask them to sign up for repeat prescriptions? What about the customers which don’t take repeat prescriptions how do you keep in touch with those?

Build a relationship.
Many pharmacies have embraced Facebook to keep customers up to date with in store services and health promotions. Monthly newsletter and Pharmacy leaflets are also an effective way to communicate clinics services and special offers.

Email. 
Encouraging customers to sign up to receive a newsletter is also an option. A well thought through email strategy can help build business awareness, promote core services and feature special product offers which could encourage footfall into store.

It doesn’t pay to promote!
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that paying for advertising is the only way to attract more business. You can market your pharmacy in literally hundreds of ways, so it pays to know what they are and then eliminate the ones that don’t work, or that you can’t afford, up-front.
